Jairus Rossi

Professional Biography
Dr. Jairus Rossi specializes in understanding relationships between people, institutions, and resources in local food systems. He is involved in diverse projects related to local and regional food system development and evaluation. In particular, he specializes in evaluating consumer behaviors related to Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) as well as CSA's broader economic, social, and health impacts. While the bulk of his research focuses on understanding direct-to-consumer market dynamics in regional food systems, he also has experience evaluating social, cultural, and environmental aspects of economic development more generally. He has training in qualitative, econometric, geospatial, and genetic analysis.
